Wireless Telephony Demo System Challenge: Develop a portable demonstration system for a wireless digital telephony system still under development. Industry and investors needed a tangible, impressive demonstration of progress. Action: Reviewed progress on system under development, identified portions that would be available by target date, and developed workarounds for missing pieces. Defined demonstration based in part on what capabilities would be available. Result: Created wireless ISDN video telephony demo system including base station and subscriber units, transportable in three suitcases. Demonstrations performed for investors and at trade shows on four out of five continents.
